Committed to community wellbeing beyond sport, SWR CIC leverages its platform to provide practical aid, partner internationally, and help rebuild resilience through ongoing relief efforts.

Youth 3x3 Basketball Tournaments
Our 3x3 basketball events deliver fast‑paced, half‑court games that sharpen decision‑making, spacing and teamwork in short, accessible formats. Ideal for quick thinking and versatile skill development, 3x3 fosters inclusive competition through mixed‑ability divisions that showcase progress and boost confidence. To date we've recorded over 500 attendances, helping players of all levels improve fitness, resilience and on‑court awareness.

Community - Basketball
At SWR CIC we run weekly community basketball sessions across Merton including She Can Play for girls and One Community mixed sessions both for young people aged 10–15 , where participants learn teamwork, leadership, resilience, communication, discipline and wellbeing. Through drills, small‑sided games, leadership rotations and wellbeing workshops; our programmes have engaged 50+ participants with over 560 attendances

The feedback has been really positive, with an average enjoyment rating of 4.8 out of 5. Young people told us they feel safe, welcomed and included, and that the sessions are helping them develop both on and off the basketball court.

Young people told us they particularly enjoy the training drills, games, coaching, playing with friends and meeting new people. They also told us the sessions have helped them build confidence, stay active, make new friends and have something positive to do in their spare time.

The feedback we receive from our young people is important to us. It helps us understand the difference our sessions are making and how we can continue improving and creating positive opportunities for young people through basketball.
